Phillip’s professional journey has been defined by his unwavering commitment to innovation and his exceptional ‘thinking without a box’ development skills in each area he is assigned to. Post pursuing his dreams in the Accounting field, Phillip ran a few business operations within the Southern Africa region. He has worked for a giant conglomerate as an internal auditor, a general manager for a hospitality chain, a consultant in the project management space. He has over a decade of experience in various sectors with close understanding of infrastructure, diplomacy and finance.
Phillip is highly passionate about sound corporate strategy, risk management, and meeting meaningful targets through is expertise in the financial and special projects sphere. He is involved with various civic and economic diplomatic engagements and tasks teams nationally, regionally, and internationally.
Phillip holds Diplomas in Horticulture, Agriculture, a National Diploma in Internal Auditing, a Bachelor’s in Internal Auditing, International Economics, and Advanced Negotiation Skills, as well as Risk Management. He has earned his designation as a Chartered Business Accountant (2023) and is completing his MBA in Finance and Sustainability.
Phillip has served and serves on Retirement Fund Boards, Financial industry boards, and various National, Regional, and Global committees in his field.
Phillip is an active member of the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) – A finalist for the 2025 Up and Coming Risk Leader of the Year Award, Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Chartered Institute of Business Accountants (CIBA), Institute of Asset Management (IAM).
